Marilynn Joyner, Founder & CEO
Marilynn Joyner is the Founder and CEO of Canvas. With over a decade of experience in commercial real estate consulting and brokerage, Marilynn has worked at industry-leading firms JLL and CBRE, advising companies such as HSBC, Sidley, KPMG, Adidas, and Convene on their real estate initiatives. Her experience includes significant transactions such as KPMG’s 450,000 SF relocation in NYC in 2022.
Marilynn is passionate about helping startups and high-growth companies navigate the complexities of commercial real estate. As a start-up founder herself, she understands the unique challenges these businesses face—from securing flexible office space to scaling brick-and-mortar strategically.
Marilynn is also the Founder and CEO of Her Workplace, an AI-powered career network for the next generation of women and non-binary professionals.
Her team works closely with founders to find solutions that align with their vision. What makes working with them different is they provide tailored end-to-end development, brokerage services, and investment support, ensuring their clients have the space and resources to grow.
She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, and has a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University.
